Needs to go. I will never buy anything for linksys again
What would be a recommended replacement that would be more reliable?

Hi, the Linksys range seems to be pretty poor these days when it comes to DSL performance, and wireless performance to be honest.

I cannot speak highly enough of the TP-Link kit.

Totally agree, Linksys are rubbish

Especially the Cisco gear branded as Cisco, but Linsys underneath, ie the SRP52x series.
Would never buy any of it again.

As Cyril says above, the TPLink series are great, I had a 8960 as above, and sold it for the SRP527 series. Worst decision I've made in regards to networking gear.
Wish I'd kept the 8960

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

I would now never buy a Cisco router, after reading about the Cloud Connect fiasco and their arrogant treatment of their customers. They only backed down when it was clear it would cost them sales.

I junked the cruddy Dlink one that Telecom distributed for a Belkin (Playmax, I gather the replacement model is the N750), and I'm pretty happy with it. Dual band, dual radio, with gigabit ports and 2xUSB ports - acquired for a pretty good sale price from JB HiFi. Only negative is that they have dropped the activity lights off the front, so if I need to troubleshoot I can't immediately see what is working and what isn't.

That niggle aside, I would buy the same again.
