Want to be able to keep an eye on the dog etc while at work, what iOS app will let me access the webcam I have connected to my desktop? I assume a client will need to be installed and running on my desktop too. Would be nice if can access video and audio if required.


Was thinking of buying this webcam for the purpose (as well as Skype etc).

You could use skype.

Set it to auto answer on your desktop. You would need another skype ID though so you can ring yourself., to either be the desktop one, and use your main one from your phone.That way if you have any contacts that ring you its not going to auto answer and see your dog frolicking. You can switch between 2 skype ID's easily enough.

Can't say I have a dog but I use Witness from Orbicule

they have face detection and/or you can take images on demand
