Hi All,

After much trouble I copied one of my kids DVD's to mp4 for a upcoming trip in the car.

Now I need to get it onto the iPad.

Is there a easy way over wifi? Or even cable, but please dont say ITunes (yuk!)

Cheers

-Al

You could buy goodplayer which can download files from a server (all on the ipad) it will also deal with other formats than just the stock mp4/aac.

Hmmm... I would be inclined to suggest that you take the time/trouble to accept that iTunes can be a useful portal to keeping your iDevice synced with content, and perhaps more importantly, backed up in case of loss/damage.
I know that iTunes can be sluggish and it seems to have gotten more & more bloated as Apple are trying to get it to handle more & more functions... but using the tabs within iTunes (when your device is plugged in) to decide what content you want synced to or removed from the iPad becomes easier the more you use it.
The content does have to be imported into the main iTunes library first tho'...

Cheers,
Mike

Not a fan of iTunes either but battled my through it!Plug in the iPad  - right click the iPad icon on the left side of iTunes about half way down.Open Movies - open Windows Explorer to where your movies are - click on the movies your want on the iPad and then just slide them into Movies in iTunes. Click Sync at the bottom and that's it.

AirVideo - convert it to watch off the device or stream it from a pc live to your TV. Works well.
