I have an iPhone 4 running latest ios (Jailbroken) and an iPad, also latest ios (non Jailbroken)

When I sit them side by side iPhone shows 3G and loads data at normal speed but iPad shows no 3G and won't load data.

Any ideas as to why guys ?

Are you on Vodafone, 2degrees or XT?

Rural, suburbs, central city?

If you are on VF but outside of their 2100MHz 3G network (main cities) your iPad won't get 3G as it doesn't do 900MHz UMTS like the iPhone 4 does.

Thanks Scott.

You hit the nail on the head. I'm on Vodafone and tried in in Ashburton yesterday. I bet it will work just fine here in Christchurch.

Most likely. Time for you to get an iPad 2. Or switch to XT. If you want 3G in Ashburton etc that is.

:-)
