Is anyone else in here running iOS 6 beta on their device? One thing I discovered is Auckland looks... different on the new maps, see if you notice what's wrong ;) Also disappointed transit no longer works, it just returns a Transport App search with no matches found. Hopefully these will be ironed out...

may not be directly related to iOS 6 but indirectly i'm going to make this comment:

has anyone felt their gadget became a lot slower / laggy / worse since updating from iOS 4 to iOS 5? (maybe a hidden way to urge you to upgrade? haha)

Apologies for poor typing standards when on Samsung Galaxy S4

Yeh it's quite annoying haha. Most of the manukau harbour is missing too. Auckland isn't quite the same without the many water spots that are missing lol. Hopefully this is fixed soon.

I also don't like the way the turn by turn directions work. Instead of sayin how far away you are from the next turn, it tells you the distance between that turn and the last turn, if that makes sense. It's really annoying to drive with that.

Did you do anything extra to turn on voice? I have mine selected but it doesn't announce anything if I press Start. Just changes the big green sign as I go

Apparently its meant to speak as you approach a turn, but I've yet to see it do this. Siri is enabled too, doesnt do it on the nz or us version.

I utterly regret upgrading my iPad 1 to iOS 5. It's rubbish now. Mind you, 256MB of RAM was stingy even then, and I suspect this is the biggest issue. Not so much the single core processor - the fact that it's constantly out of RAM.

I agree. My original iPad was extremely crash prone to the point where I'm glad to be rid of it, and I'm pretty sure it was down to inadequate RAM coupled with bloated third party apps. My new 3rd gen is much, much better.

Running iOS6 beta 4 .

So far Have had personal hotspot problems at times.

Also poor battery life, but i guess thats just the iPhone 4S in general.

I like how music has a cleaner look.
Alot of nice touch ups, smooth as always.

^ strangely, my 4S started shredding the battery about a month ago, I'd be lucky to get a day out of a single charge. since I updated to beta 4 it's been surprisingly good, still 64% remaining after 9 hours typical use

^ My guess is that its how the phone is used. I am constantly using 3g data through out the day, etc.

I found the best battery life was on the iPhone 4.

Ofcourse its not dual core, but still smooth :) .

Have you tried 5.1? I noticed a massive performance boost with it after using the sluggish 5.0 (this was on an iPhone 3GS)

I think I might wait before going to iOS6. See how other people get on with it. I like Google maps, and I'll be....vexed if the Apple replacement is rubbish. NavFree seems to do an okay job of navigating too. I was quite keen to try out Siri, but it looks like it may not be on iPad 2's - just the iPad 3. A high level of Facebook integration isn't going to make me want it either!
