I found this quite interesting. I have an iTalk number and my mobile phone number with CallerID blocked on both. I called my slingshot landline via both of the numbers, and even though they came up as UNAVAILABLE under called ID on my phone, I was able to use slingshot's "who called me" feature to find the numbers that had called.

Is this to say that my number isn't really hidden? I thought it would keep people from learning my number as I'm very tight on privacy, but obviously not. Is this normal? Isn't hiding your CallerID pointless if people can just find it anyway?

When you "hide" your CallerID it's still passed through between telcos when you make a call. It's up to the telco who terminates the call to ensure they follow this and not actually passthru a number if it is restricted. It seems like iTalk certainly aren't doing this.

iTalk also had issues many years ago where they were passing through blocked numbers in the SIP URI's.

No need! It's a great feature to catch those annoying prank calls that I sometimes get ;)

Just thought it was a bit strange, that's all!

Why do you want to block your outgoing CLID??

While you are "looking into it" can you please add rejection of caller ID withholders to your feature set please slingshot? I keep finding voicemails from people from when my asterisk box misses the call, and I would rather not have those calls able to leave messages.
