My letter to Slingshot PR

Will you be putting out a statement as to how we can protect ourselves from prosecution by way of the copywright bill. My understanding is that as a account holder I am responsible for infringements that may occur by way of my account? So if I have wifi and someone manages to access illegal material I can be held responsible or I have to be able to prove I am not responsible.

putting on my devils advocate hat: I am sure their simple response would be don't download illegal material, and ensure your WiFi router is appropriately secured, as well as your computers that access the Internet.

Why should they help protect someone form prosecution?

Both WEP & WPA are crackable so the thread authors concerns do require addressing. This could hypothetically occur and would make for an interesting case before the courts.

Details on how a user can log there own Internets usage would help, a log of someone accessing the wifi would be a starter.
Maybe Slingshot can provide users with internet access logs, like that did a few years ago, so users could see what/where there internet traffic is doing.
