Just seen it mentioned on twitter so have checked it out:

$30 for 10 gig
$40 for 50 gig
$50 for 100 gig
$60 for 150 gig
$70 for 250 gig

downside is no more off-peak downloading

Naked is $80 for 30 gig with free italk / mobile plan

unlimited, half price for 6 months , only $40 a month. Why would they want to attract more people to this plan when they are struggling now.

the website still says offpeak

"
  • FREE off-peak on plans except Discovery - download as much as you want during your plan’s off-peak period and it won't count towards your data allowance"

Thanks for the heads up.

Just changed my plan to $55 100GB (no phone with them). My average monthly bill just halved. I'm happy.

Why won't Opera let me post more than 2 characters?

So these new plans still have unlimited off-peak yeah? We're due to be upgraded to Slingshot's better network tomorrow so we get 50gigs and phoneline for $106, but $100 for 100gigs+phoneline sounds awesome.

EDIT - Just looked on the Slingshot forum and the new plans don't have free off-peak data, looks like i'll stay on 50G and free off-peak data.

Yet Naked DSL from all providers suck for data plans.

I like the look of these plans but why not introduce the data usage for Naked customers too.

There is no off peak on the new plans, Slingshot will no longer be selling plans with free off peak data,

I called the helpdeak with a few questions.

To get the 50% off you have to not be under a current contract.
If you have a contract you can change to the new plans but no 50% deal

If you take the 50% you can't change plans within the 1st 6 months, but after that you can change plans,
which is really nice as someone could get a 250GB plan and then cut it back to a 100GB after 6 months.

NakeDSL plans have been left out really, this is the 2nd major price change that has seen no change to their NakedDSL offerings.

I actually might switch to the 150gb or 250gb plans. Slingshot seem to heavily rate limit VPN off peak but not on peak.

Yes, New Customers and Customers who are out of contract get the 50% off for 6 months.

Which is what I though I said.

I'm not on a contract afaik, the lady who replied to my email said it was only for new customers. Do I need to ring them up?

Oh yeah ring then, she got it wrong, if you have no contract then you can get the 6month deal and a new 12 month contact.

She must have been confused as the last offer of 6 months half price was only for new customers (unless you requested terminate the account and said you where going to sign up again to get the deal, they learned from that.)

What is regarded as a 'new' customer. I haven't been a customer for 3 years, so if I switched, would I be considered a 'new' one?

What are their international download speeds like? I used to be with them, and it wasn't good and a lot of disconnections. But those prices do look very good, and I could save 50% than I am currently paying.

Slingshot has got better as there are less disconnections these days.
Speeds, well if you use P2P or access filelockers then you will not get full speed when the network is in high demand. This happens a lot with there free data periods and their AYCE plan. The new plans might be different and speeds will depend on network load.

Nice One lokhor, let us know how speeds work out for you.

You need to not be under a current contract *and* have your home line with Slingshot. Was just told this when I switched over so I didn't get the 50% deal.

Had the same response when I first emailed them too.
