So when did 2talk start offering broadband?

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their ADSL broadband network faster. Why not spend a couple of hundred to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
Geekzone special price: $150* for master splitter install, normally $200+ through your ISP. Auckland and Waikato areas.
*Travel charges may apply. Additional costs may apply for complex installs.
I install - Naked DSL, DSL Master Splitters, VoIP, RBI Rural Broadband. Also a dealer for WorldxChange.

Hey,

No idea, 2talk are a completely separate company to us.

Where did you find this? Couldn't see it on their site.

Cheers,
Ben

This is also the CallPlus forum, and I believe 2talk are still loosely related to them

Don't forget mostly the same owners and directors for both.

I can't find this page in the 2talk portal - but I can find a page to buy the above services . . . . so I guess they are probably working on the site at the moment. There haven't been any announcements at all by 2talk yet so I guess it is very very new.

Considering the terrible service they offer for their VOIP stuff, I shudder to think how bad their ADSL service would be. Couldn't pay me to take it.

why is it that every time a 2talk thread starts the same people pop up to remind everyone of their opinion of 2talk.

It's worth remembering that the vast majority of 2talk users have no problems with them.  Smile

2talks, service has been rock solid for 6 months now, since the new 2talk+ service.
networkn just has an issue with 2talk, 2degrees, anything with 2 in it.

Do they use Callplus for their broadband offerings?
I would interested to know.

Now on Slingshot Better Network and it's better.

Interestingly, they appear to be using Chorus.
Their availability tool just brings up a chorus map.
My parents house (which is outside the callplus service area) is listed as being able to get 2talk Access

Found it after logging into the portal there is a option called "Access" on the left hand side and under there you can click on the "here" button under "Access Connections" to get the page with the internet prices.

You have to be on certain plans to be able to get the internet offering, the plan I am not does not qualify

Interesting how many of the plans have a "2talk secure IP", I assume that means you're behind NAT?

Why would it mean that? It probably means you are assigned a static address and your account is locked down to that.
