So it looks like international is down. National data is fine. Currently down for about 35 minutes.
EDIT: National is now down toooooo :(

1.42am: Cached websites down (google, youtube etc.)
1.46am: Everything back to normal.
2.05am: International data including Youtube down.
2.15am: Youtube back up.
2.40am: Most national data down and Youtube are down. Geekzone access is a bit iffy. WTF?

mine just went down, i've been playing runescape on a local server though (don't laugh)

When it froze and i had to refresh the page it wouldn't load :/

This is quite odd, you'd think they'd try to minimise the service downtime to try and pick up some of the telecom customers who're sick of having no internet!

Was watching Netflix. Restarted the modem. National was down for a while and now looks to be back up online.  Nat is a bit buggy though. International is down.

Mines stil playing up, can get on facebook and stuff. Battlelog and amazon.com on the other hand are all not working. So guessing some international sites are working.

Funny how the slingshot website shows no faults and network status is a green tick. . . . . . .

2 bars usuall happens when ur connection to Aussie players go higher than 150-200ms in ping. That means everything on your screen is delayed, basically they see you before you see them.

Hi guys,

This morning we performed some planned works which impacted most customers.  This work was required to perform further augments to one of our International links.

Thanks for your patience!

No, they were fixing issues.

I was unable to access 2talk.co.nz (same with my VOIP adapters) since about 11am yesterday (12-12-2012).

Called slingshot - "not our issue, ring 2talk".
Called 2talk - "not our issue, ring slingshot".

After a few hours of back and forward (during my work time) - turns out Slingshot had issues (can't recall exact problem) and 2talk are customers of Slingshot for certain services.

Yesterday evening I couldn't access slingshot.co.nz or 2talk.co.nz.

Quite a few people had similar/same issue and couldn't even access their email so slingshot setup a separate access page for webmail access for those affected.

Meanwhile... still no phone (via VOIP, which is a pain as there is a St John lifelink alarm connected)

Eventually it was sorted (1pm today) - The whole time the Slingshot network status said - OK with the big green tick.....

I enquired about a credit as a gesture of goodwill for the downtime and interruption to my personal time and chargeable work hours, Answer = Hows $5 off next months bill?

Nice one Slingshot, you've just lost a customer of ten years.

From a customer service stand point pretty poor. Nice of who ever the guy is above to say they we're fixing issues. How about you don't tell everyone your network is all good. I had to jump on GeekZone to find out you were having issues. Thats pretty piss poor. Oh and if it was planned work i certainly don't remember an email getting sent out.

Sort it out....
