Our phone has a new message indicator led function that hasn't worked since being with Orcon Home+.

The only way we can tell if we have a new message is to check for the changed dial tone.

Does anyone know if it's possible it get it working?  The phone is a Uniden DSS7915.

Orcon answered my email query within two hours with this response...

"I am sorry but our Voicemail service does not activate flashing light indicators on handsets so the only way to check messages is to listen for the change in dialtone. This is something that we are working to change on our network so that light indicators will work. At the moment we have no date for a resolution."

Just hope your incoming calls don't start to drop off after about 5 ~30  minutes like ours do.  Orcon seems to have no answer to the problem. Been happening since we went LLU in October 08.   On Monday I emailed them to go back to UBS and a Telecom landine but so far no response .  The rest of the family here are getting real pissed with Orcon's fone service..  Oh and no MWI is another hate of theirs..

Message Waiting Indicator. Many newish phones that have come out in the last few years have a LED for Voicemail or will show "Message Waiting" on the LCD screen. A FSK tone is sent down the line to enable/disable this.
