Log a case with Orcon it can only help,
It seems funny to me at least that we are both having the same sort of issues and we both got bumped up the line thru here on Friday?

An update on Call Waiting. I removed line filter and unplugged SKY. It seems a little better in that I now get an interupted tone on top of a call when second call is coming in. However it still blanks out the first call. You can press R to talk to secon call but there is no way you can tell first caller what you are doing. They will think you have gone and probably hang up.
Not very satisfactory at all

I have also done some testing and I get the exact same problem with call waiting when using the orcon handset or another DECT handset I have plugged in.

We are working on it and should have the fix this week, and yes not satisfactory but we will keep improving the firmware for the life of the product so nothing will be left hanging.

Just an update got home this weekend and was on the phone when another call came thru same thing happened phone went dead but by pushing the R button on the phone I managed to get to the 2nd call then back to the 1st call with the person going hello hello you still there wondering what had happened? Also once pushing the R button the 1st time there was a beeping sound in the back ground which did not go away untill I finished both calls.

Question for the guys that work for Orcon are you able to disable call waiting until the issue is sorted?
My wife is getting very grumpy at getting cut off all the time

Good idea it would make sense to disable but then as we are paying for the caller ID service they would probably feel obligated to refund part of the fees

True but once it is all sorted I will be talking with Orcon about some sort of compensation
Cause not only do we get cut off all the time, the line quality is bad 80% of the time
But give Orcon their dues they rang me last night to keep me updated with what is going on with my case etc

Fair enough. I did not log a call for the problem as they are well aware of the problem. I wonder why it is such a problem. Presumably other VOIP systems have call waiting so it should not be too much to solve

Can't you just turn waiting off your self ? , what happens if you want to calls to go to Voicemail on Busy surely you should be able to turn it off your self

Nope as far as I can see you have no control over the phone at all. The user cannot change any of the defaults maybe Orcon can but we have no access.

Any ideas how? All that happens at the moment is everything goes dead and sometimes you are able to get to caller #2 by pushing R other times you lose both calls

what is going on with your case as I don't have access to all the details? We can disable call waiting for you and the fix is expected any day after testing has been completed. Feel free to PM me any details so we can take a closer look.
