There's an article in today's NZ Herald but it doesn't really tell us anything new.

Wonder if Sky is trying to do a back room deal and pull the rug from under Sommet.

I would imagine similar to what was done with Choice, start with a low bandwidth test loop.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Moto GP and SBK is gone from Sky. dang. Probably too costly for a FTA channel? And/or too niche?

I see the launch won't be before ANZAC Day now...

"I know that you are all waiting for this channel to launch. We are making positive progress.
We are currently working with the third parties that will enable us to get on air. We will update you Friday."

Superbikes are still on Sky, I was watching the race for Aragon the other weekend.  I hope they pick up MotoGP

Ah tks for that. Moto GP is on an "alternative" channel for now..........  Its going to be great, Rossi is riding well on a decent bike, Marquez is rocking the top guys. He is super aggressive, makes great viewing.

"Our channel will only work with Freeview Approved Terrestrial Product (it requires MHEG5)." Not so good for the Tivo!

Soft launch is typically a non advertised launch, aiming to keep initial numbers down. This may indicate they are not bandwidth ready yet, or they prefer problems that arise just to affect the few who that know? Rather than a highly publicised launch that has issues and gives a bad result to the masses.
