If someone could offer me advice, it would be much appreciated. I recently bought a second freeview LCD TV. My main TV is in the lounge connect to Telstra Saturn via s-video and via RF cable for freeview aerial. When I renovated my house, I only put a RF cable through to the family room where the second set is located. This was ok - as I previously connected my old non-freeview second TV to my main TV via the RF out on the Saturn box which allowed me to view Telstra or the analogue FTA channels. However with the new second freeview LCD TV, I split the freeview aerial cable with one output to my main TV and the other to my second TV. I then combined in the Saturn RF out. see diagram. The result is I can tune my new TV into the half the freeview channels and my saturn box. However I assume that the saturn and freeview signals are close, so the saturn signal is overriding the freeview signals for TV1, TV2, TV3. While I was thinking to overcome this issue I'd disconnect the Saturn RF out and run a separate composite cable from the saturn box to my second TV, I was wondering if there is a smarter way? Cheers

Cheers Not sure it is smarter, but a possible solution is to dump the composite feed from the Saturn Box into a tuner that has selectable channel output ( an old VCR deck would likely work), and set the channel to one that does not interfer with Freeview on the second set, ( just leave your current combiner intact)

yeah, you will be re-radiatiing all the saturn channels from the antenna which will make some people very unhappy. While in theory the matching og the splitters should mean that doesnt happen, in reality the signal bounces all up and down the cable and there will be some saturn signal at the antenna. Get a seperate modulator that is tunable. There are heaps on trademe usually, or jaycar etc. Dont bother with the small VHF modulator from jaycar, it puts crap all over the band as well, seems to be the same as the old modulators used on commodore 64's etc in the 80s. Combine that with the antenna signal using its passthru to ensure no back feed to the antenna, but it doesnt really matter if its just a single channel of analog modulation so if you get one without a pass thru just use what you have there.
