Hi,
I have several weeks already since TVNZ 1 dissapeard from my stand alone FTA DVB-S receiver. I did not play with any settings, it just dissapeard, it now gives me the standard message "signal scrambled or something-else"... I tried to re-scan the transponder with no result. All the previous channels were found except TVNZ1. All the other channels are working just fine (same as before).

anyone else experienced this?

This might've changed, but I believe at some point there were multiple TV1 DVB-S broadcasts, some in FTA and some encrypted by Sky. I'd suggest doing a full scan and trying to find a different TV1.

I found the same thing on a DVB-S box we use to feed TV1 to a TV in the bedroom that is used as an alarm clock. One morning TV1 was missing, and we awoke, luckily on time, to a blue-screen.

I found TV1 on another channel on the receiver, so all's well again until that one gets turned off or moved. As previously suggested there are multiple TV1 feeds on the satellite, and it will just be a case of finding one that's still active.

As an aside, with Petra & Coran on in the morning there is a strong temptation to go back to a normal alarm clock!

Sky dropped their unencrypted TV1 feed several weeks ago - you had probably been viewing this.

Yes early morning TV has hardly been on in our house since "the departure"!

I did not know about an FTA feed from Sky for TVNZ ONE channel.
I checked LynSat and it shows that feed from Sky (on 12671H) and another one on 12483H, I will try and get that one and see what is happening.

Why didn't the STB find both of them from the beginning?Hmmm...

TV1 off Sky was free to air until a few weeks ago. Sky have turned this channel off. Now Sky point all their SD boxes to the Freeview TV1. Retune your satellite box to one of the TV1 feeds on 12483MHz, S=22500, FEC=3/4 to continue watching TV1.

This is a problem with blind scan boxes as they often found the Sky TV1 and TV2 instead of Freeview. I'd put money on Sky TV2 disappearing soon too.

Retune to fix it... this problem wouldn't happen with an authorised Freeview sat box.

That was it, I was seeing the Sky feed, switched to the other transponder is is fine.
