Topic # 99643 23-Mar-2012 23:23 Send private message

So I have the following DVB-S channels off a 90cm dish pointing at Optus D1 (all through Mediaportal):

TV1
TV2
TV3
TV3 PLUS
FOUR
U
TVNZ 7
PRIME
C4
SBS HD
SBS ONE
SBS TWO
SBS 3
SBS 4
MAORI TV
TE REO
STRATOS
CUE
PARLIAMENT TV
SHINE TV
TRACKSIDE

Are there any other FTA channels I can get off that satellite? If so, which ones? ABC, Channel 7?

Cheers :)

Those are all the ones I can see on Optus D1.

Before changing my LNB, I took a look at Optus C1/D3 using the other throat on the old LNB.  There didn't seem to be anything much that wasn't encrypted, although I did find a couple of SNG feeds.

You've got everything on D1 that you can. I wouldn't count SBS3 & 4 as distinct channels. They're just duplicates of SBS1. Sometimes 12637V 5100 has Ch10 or Ch7 but it's only when there's a transmission fault in Australia and usually only for a few hours.

don't mess with me.... i'm the hd insider....

Just scanned the one you listed, came up as 'Test' so yeah, something to keep an eye on I guess. Thanks.

Whenever I've tuned into that channel it has been showing Colour Bars with 800Hz Audio Tone as it is right now.

Interesting to know that sometimes it has Ch10 or Ch7 though -- thanks for the tip.

12680 V 7200 is worth checking out at times, at the moment it has kids programmes from channel 7 ... but it can go at any time.

Not permanent channels then, just news feeds. Fun to watch, but temporary.
