This has just started on Optus D1. At present it is just a test card
Details are:-12650 V  SR 10500.
The source is channel Nine Australia.
I understand it will be used for the Olympic Games starting in July.
This could be great for people with 3D TVs and nothing in 3D to watch!

Wonder how long that will stay there before Sky notices it and gets it pulled..??

Reception now does not ensure reception later. I'm receiving it - but it's just a 2D at the moment. It's likely a daytime (OZ) highlights package to stimulate 3D set sales.

Just did a scan on D1 I don't see it. Suppose my STB not being HD will not pick it up. Was going to upgrade but when SBS vanished decided not to as there was HD content anymore..

Oblivian:  Also needs to be a 3d Passing capable receiver.

Or direct cable to TV and optical/dig coax to receiver...

The Channel Nine 3D trial is back again. Details are Optus D1 12648V SR 10500 DVB.There is also a 2D version.
It starts regular Olympics  coverage on July 28.
To receive the 3D you need 3D capable receiver such as the Ultraplus 9200, F9000 or 900 HD.
Happy viewing!

My Hyundai AH-3110 shows the 1920x1080 picture with the screen split vertically into two pictures. Do you need special glasses to see the 3D effect. Assuming this stays FTA for the games where can you get the glasses?

Perhaps a 3D receiver would combine/superimpose the two pictures. Still if it stays FTA I can watch the left picture with my left eyeball and the right picture with my right!

Yes, I get the double image on my Ultraplus F-9000. To see the 3D effect you need a 3D TV and the special glasses.

Have to be an HD receiver and set the 3d picture type to "side-by-side"

Tested on a Samsung 3D TV with a Dish TV S7090PVR and it looks awesome and is in 3D.

Cool hope this will keep going right through the Olympics Cool

The Receiver just needs to be a full HD DVB-S2 decoder because its the TV that handles the 3D.
