JB is selling a number cheap (back from repair, customer return but I presume with full warranty.

The Freeview box I have now is fairly flakey and annoying, it will not output DD5.1 over HDMI, only S/PDIF so I have to have two separate connecitons to my AVR - HDMI for video and S/PDIF for audio. And it locks up every now and then requiring rebooting.

I don't need PVR functionality - just a reliable tuner.

Thanks

It's just another cheapie...
I'd save my pennies and go elsewhere personally.
I'd be waiting for some reviews on the Igloo box as the Pace units tend to be constructed better than the standard Freeview boxes at The Warehouse etc. Even if you don't use the pay as you go features, it could be a winner?

It's only $89 so hardly a huge investment. Just want to be able to watch Freeview in the bedroom.

It will be fine for that. I have one and it works well. Also have one of the refurbished T1050's and it works fine, so refurbished is no issue. has a 12 month warranty as well.

I have been using a T1020 for more than a year now. I use the PVR functionality too. It is a great unit. I have no problem with it.

Thanks to all. I  might pick one up since for $89 it's hardly a huge investment if it doesn't work as well as the top end models.
