I still haven't seen Google TV in action, but this unit looks interesting:

I'm tempted; wonder how it would work in NZ...

I'm very interested in this... Someone is compiling a 4tr plugin, so if it can decode 1080i HD TV streams, and has a decent movie/music frontend then this could be awesome as a bedroom system.

that looks pretty cool, nice remote... the picture of the person holding in their hand makes it look oddly large IMO, not sure why....

xbmc should be running on google tv soonish... so that would get you live tv and everything.

cant wait until theres some tvs in nz with google tv built in, then just install xbmc on that and no need for separate device.

That is an awesome point Reven!  If they're NZ HD TV then they'll decode 1080i fine, with google TV there is my completly integrated media centre!  Now if I could somehow sort out some internal equivalent to On Live so I can stream my games from a central place in the house without the need for a powerful system in each room...

yeah ive been wanting onlive to come here for some time, definitely the way to go. buy most of my games now from xbox on demand. nice not needing a disc, but takes a few hours to download the entire game and most games are slightly more expensive on demand (some are way more expensive, but most are priced ok now).

ouya might bring streaming games when it comes out....

What about this?  Seems to be a home version of On Live for the PC... Has a trial too... Might give it a go.

that looks like you install software on your computer and that becomes your server that you can stream off.

but that means you buy games regularly and stream them off that computer...

onlive lets you stream off THEIR servers, you buy/rent games from them, and if a new game comes out that needs new hardware you don't have to buy it, they will have the hardware for it, and stream the video output to you (you're computer doesnt do the rendering, their servers do).

and streammygame website looks very unprofessional... that always puts me off...
