No idea what's going on. I have what i thought was a flac music file. System won't let me delete it. It's not in use by another application. I've tried unlocker and take ownership still can't delete it. Here is a picture of what it did every time.

Is it a file that was deleted from a USB stick or external drive? You might need to plug that back in for it to be able to be removed completely.

gehenna: Is it a file that was deleted from a USB stick or external drive? You might need to plug that back in for it to be able to be removed completely. It was TRANSFERRED from a USB HDD. I have been able to deleate the other 10 songs in the file, just not that one? Have tried rebooting.

Tried deleting from the command prompt? Failing that, maybe you need to run a file system check.

Run the command prompt. CD C:\foldername. DEL filename.extension Then empty the recycle bin.

CD \ users\nick\desktop\music\godsmack\IV del filename.ext CD means change directory Cyril

Hi Sorry no it should be. CD \users\......etc That assumes you are already on c drive otherwise you go C:\ CD \users\.............etc or CD C:\users\.............etc Cyril

You could try moving (cut and paste) it to root directory first before using command prompt. If that works would make it easier.
