Hi,

I have just upgraded to XBMC frodo (v12)

I have a GeForce GT 220

Can Any one tell me what the correct settings would be for HD Audio?

I have my HTPC hooked up to the HDMI in on a samsung UA55D7000 55” Series 7 LED. http://www.samsung.com/nz/support/model/UA55D7000LMXRD

I have a Samsung HT-E6750W (home Theatre)  hooked up the the ARC HDMI input on the tv.

http://www.samsung.com/nz/consumer/tv-audio-video/home-theatre/home-theatre-systems/HT-E6750W/XY-spec

I tried to set-up XBMC to use HDMI Audio with 7.0 channels. Pass through but I get very choppy video with no sound at all...

Can someone please give me any advice on how to get working?

If an upgrade of the video card is needed, what do people recommend?

You will not get sound passing audio to that home theatre kit as it does not have HD audio decoding abilities. The best bet for you would be to have XBMC to output an LPCM stream of the HD audio.

Workstation: Intel DH67CL ~ i5-2500 ~ 4GB Corsair RAM (x2) ~ Intel X25-M 80GB SSD

Laptop: Dell Inspiron 1564 ~ i5-520M ~ 4.00GB RAM ~ 500GB SATA HDD ~ Win7 Home Premium x64

Common misconceptions.

Thanks...

Do you know what options I would need to set in XBMC for this to happen?
