So after a lot of sitting on the fence over changing telcos and a visit from the local 2degrees business salesmen I have moved my mobile over to 2D last thursday.

My question is how long does it typically take to get connected?

I received my Microsim on the courier Friday morning but when I put it in my Phone I still get "No Service".

I'm getting my number ported over which is still connected so Its not a big issue more of a query how long it typically takes as the sales rep said I should be able to put the sim in as soon as I get it and use it with the 022 number that came with it.

I'm planning on ringing them tomorrow to ask but don't really want to waste my / their time if this is a common thing.

Andrew

I believe they should have given you a date on which it would be active. If not, as SteveON said, call them and ask.

So I called them and it turns out the sim card I was given has a Prepay number rather than an paymonthly one that also doesn't match the number allocated to the sim number so I've been told to ring my sales rep to get it sorted.

Will keep you posted
