I just noticed that 2degress now give 1GB of data per month for free for TWO (2) years for pay monthly plans that are $39 or above, that's nice.

However, I am an existing customer with a no term contract and does not want to sign up for a 12 or 24 month contract, so I cannot take this new deal... =-(

I am curretly getting the 1GB free for a month for a year, maybe I need to leave 2degrees at the end of the 12th month and then return...

Very tempting, particularly now they are doing shared data as well...

Any idea if the 1gb bonus is national data, or only within the 2Degrees zones?

Seems that so far Vodafone's only response is data plans that are approx 2x the price for the same amount of data?!

It's national data.

Yes, we're starting to get the benefit of our $100 million investment in network expansion to lower roaming costs! :-)

Well, for $19 there's a prepay plan that gets you better than that.

How does that work? I'm currently on the $39 1 year contract with 1yr bonus 1G data.

I think if you use data sharing (costs $5 per month on top of plan/packs) then you get 1GB bonus data.

Dear 2 degrees:

This plan sounds awesome and please extend the offer until 1 October.

My Vodafone plan is about to run out, and when it does I want this deal!

(and no I don't want to sign up now and pay for two plans for three months...)

Cheers!

Your correct.  Interesting i was reading an article today in the US where more and more people are going to prepay  to get out of the clutches on  expensive post pay plans and that prepay is easier to manage..

Interesting. I called Vodafone and told them I was interested in switching because my 6 months of free 1GB data was coming to an end next month. Got transferred to the retention team and got 1GB/month added gratis for the next 2 years.

I found that by the time I got to within 3 months of the end of my Voda contract, it was cheaper to break the contract, pay the terrmination fee and join 2degrees, than keep on paying for the Voda plan for another 3 months!

Something to consider.

I've recently joined 2degrees on the $39/mo plan specifically for the 1gb/mo for a year data perk, and today I got an email informing me that it's been extended to 2 years.
