4th of the month my 1gb data plan renewed and I was using my phone like normal.
Few app updates here and there when not on wifi and some browsing etc.

Later in the week i purchased a 2degrees usb stick so my laptop could connect and opted to share data (since i realised that the 3gb of data included with the stick was useless to me being not within the mobile broadband zone at work).



Not sure how long it was connected but laptop browsed a few webpages etc and after 2 days of light use I see my data plan is sitting on 0gb!

No windows updates or anything turned on.

I have a job logged with 2degrees support about it since Tuesday but so far no updates on whats happened.

We will only be able to see the volume consumed, not what you used it for. We don't keep track of that information on a personal level, only at whole-customer-base aggregate level.

Some apps are huge, turn off auto update for all but the most critical - not sure if any are really critical enough to update over 3G.

Guess you should watch your data counter for a bit. There may be an app that helps track data usage, or may Android does it for you?

If you've used it on your windows laptop and you've automatic updates enabled.... today is update Thursday.
(May have used a few more Megs in the background than you anticipated.)

I thought it was Update Tuesday (in the US). My laptop always wants to install updates when I leave work on a Wednesday.

You are posting this in the 2degrees forum as if it was their problem that you plugged your laptop into their network and used up all your data. Posting this in the Microsoft or Apple (which ever your brand) forum would have been more logical.

Usage straight from Your2Degrees totalling 97MB from start of billing (4th June) to today. 97mb out of 1000mb used by my android handset.


2degrees shared data showing 0mb used and set up on the 8th so its not like its too recent to show on the report.

So in summary there IS A 2DEGREES ISSUE not a Microsoft or app update issue.

Hi

I cant see the balance on the 4th but i remember it not being over my 1gb from previous billing period.

I can see below that on the days coming up to the 4th that it must be within the 1GB free data of previous period otherwise it would put a $ charge in the column as it wouldnt be free data any more.
Since those columns are blank it indicates all data being used up until the 4th and beyond is free plan data.

I only started seeing charges on the 11th once the data was apparently gone.
 

It has to be some sort of error with the data pack dropping off.
97mb of data used on the handset and very light laptop web browsing wouldnt go through 1000Mb.

Well apprently this doesnt work at all so dont ever rely on this!
Check usage and its shows 0mb  when it had actually used loads of data somehow.

Salty any chance you can press them for a pro rata reinstatement of some data to my account in lieu of the Data usage on your2degrees not functioning as it should?
