Correct Vodafone NZ can not offer support on changing the firmware / software on the handset, The handset was purchased from a non authorised retailer running software for another carrier

kohum, I think you should contact Dick Smith because they are the one who will fix under warranty and support your phone as you've purchased it from them. Samsung NZ will be your second option. I don't think you should contact Vodafone to support a phone you haven't got from them.
