1st gen iPhone finally died, so I have bought a Nokia C2-01 to tide me over until iPhone 5. (Maybe).
Needed a reliable simple phone with loud ringtones and message alerts as I am often in a noisy environment.

Two issues...

1. Try to load the OVI Store (I just want some better message tones etc), whatever that is, and it prompts "OVI Store update needed, version 3.30.2.24, 705KB".
I press Update, it shows a loading screen and progress barber pole for some time, then shows "Secure connection not available" message, then goes to white screen showing "Downloading OVI Store" with a progress spinner, but nothing seems to happen after this.

2. Is there a way to prevent pocket calling emergency numbers when phone is key locked? I've taken it out my pocket twice today and it has said "111" or "000" and presumably will just need the go button pressed to dial emergency.
Can this be disabled?

Cheers,
Joseph

Disabling emergency calls cant be done because some dipstick thought that it was a good idea when making the GSM specs, so if you lose your phone someone can still use it to prank 111 and you get the blame. Wonderful.

And for the ovistore issues I have had a friend with that issue on their handsets. Many trys later and it worked for them, customer service was no help. They did try other APNs which might have been what finally made it work. Pretty horrid phones all up tho.

Also, because if someone is dying in front of you, you really want to be able to make that phone call even while panicked, don't you? Seems like a decent trade off to me. Number of times someone has pranked 111 with my phone... almost 1.
