They seem to be hinting at realy realy realy low prices or good deals looking at there press releases.
Love the ad and Rhys Darby (how did you get him?). Great idea having the free SIM and $5 credit.

I guess you will be able to reuse the SIM if you want to go on a plan or want to port your number

You would assume you would be able to no. port onto the SIM they send you.. If not they could just be sending out a whole lot of sims for no real reason

Brilliant ad. I watched it twice!

I wouldn't be surprised if Vodafone "suddenly" drops their SIM price to match 2Degrees.

FYI the sim that comes out will have a 2d number, you can change it to a new 022 number or port in a new number, very easy and slick i believe

I think it's such a good marketing move. An iconic kiwi and a free SIM card - can't beat that!

Only thing that will stop me from moving is the cost of someone texting me from Vodafone. All my mates are Vodafone based and will most likely not text me if it costs 20c! :P

ellbos: Just saw it, quite like it, shame I can't log on to the website though to find out more...it just hangs for ages.

thefatmould: 2degrees site is sloooooooooooow. lots of interest.

Must have just been a peak of interest after the initial ad run.  It's super quick now - I signed up for The Great New Zealand Chinwag within a minute...
