Grrr...all I want is for my 2D number to replicate my home number...which incidentally is 4XXXXXX

Looks like regardless of whether the site is up or not (which it's not) I won;t get the number I want.

Not impressed, Jeff.

Have patience. Better late (and working) than never really.

I would like to see them release other numbers in the 022 range sooner than later as I have a couple of 022 numbers I want in mind, but none of them begin with 0, 1, 2 or 6.

jofizz: Bah I am completely dissillusioned with 2degrees! I've had my SIM card, Loaded with credit, for a whole week, and have not yet used it as I cannot transfer my 021 number.

I cannot wait to be rid of Vodafone, AND 2degrees reception is miles better than VF at my house.

A week! To fix a website!

And no news as to when it will be up!! This is crazy.

Totally agree, i've had my 022 sim card loaded credit for a week, problem is i'm using the 022 one as I don't want to top up my 021 phone (which is printed on my business cards and was to be transferred to 2degrees).

Surely its about time someone from two degrees fronted up and said when it will be working, as they're going to start losing customers very quickly. A simple .pdf form that could be faxed/scanned+email to 2degrees to allow us to number port is all it would take.

Completely understand the new company start up/bug thing but I guess the thing that is winding me up is the seemingly lack of communication. They did so well on launch date with chipping in with comms here an facebook etc & now it's all tighter than a nun ****! Like some I"m waiting to port a # across from TM after losing a long held work phone (long story!) and limbo is the name of the game now and 2degrees are taking it pretty low!
Oh an new on here after lurking for a while!

Welcome Kiwisfly, and I wholeheartedly agree regarding the lack of communications, it's like they completely forgot how to use the very same channels that they spent so much time building pre-launch as marketing! I can't imagine how much lighter the call center load would have been if they were able to put announcements on the facebook page, the twitter page, or even their own official blog...

IF YOU'RE LISTENING 2DEGREES PLEASE TAKE NOTE!!

This sucks, how long can their programmers take to fix this code.

I'll be really peed off if when they sort this bug out and I find my number has already been allocated as a part of the normal SIM mailout / sales.. Why wouldn't they let us reserve numbers before opening day ??

I wonder when it comes back online whether it will crash again, as it is certainly going to cop a 'hammering' from everyone wanting to port numbers across and to change phone numbers.

Ah well, good things take time. Fortunately as the unfortunate possessor of a Vodem, slow service is something I am fully accustomed to. When the site goes up and we can start heading for port, we will be so appreciative we could - - err - - smile a bit. Someday.

What manual workaround have they been doing?
As far as I know the 0800 line cant let you choose an 022 number, port an existing number, register your sim card or check your bill..

People could pick an 022 0xxxxxx number via 0800 number not sure if you can still do now.

This goes against all of the reports made here since launch.
