HiK1000716: I'm with 2degrees and had to change my time manually. =[

Edit: I also had my phone set to get the time from the operator.


The time doesn't just automaticlaly update itself continually, I believe it only happens when the phone has to contact the HLR (which is something Salty briefly mentioned above). If your phone automatically changed to DST it was probably the phone firmware itself doing this. If you turned your phone off and on again and network time was enabled it would (or should) get the new time from the network.

So if 2D and Telecom do this on both networks (XT & CDMA) Then why doesn't Vodafone support this feature??

Vodafone have never actually answered this question.

One thing you do have to consider is that this feature is only active on a very small number of WCDMA and GSM networks worldwide. It's certainly by no means a "normal" feature that every network has enabled.

I see it's only a handful around the world using it, in saying that i wonder why vodafone do not enable this feature given they are the only network without it in NZ
