I noticed this morning when driving down Greenwood st and approaching the bend to the left to K drive this big mast going up next to PBT Transport.

When looking at the already registered frequencies for Hamilton, the location is bang on for "Dinsdale South"

So looks like things are finally happening in the tron!

Noticed driving home this pole had panel antennas mounted, couldn't see the microwave antenna tho.
Will see if I can grab a photo tomorrow morning

I would have thought the big email would have gone around by now for first mast up in Hamilton...

Nope... I'm not involved in radio stuff, I just would have expected an email to go round if that was the first of the masts to go up. Historic occasion etc. I honestly don't know whether the actual builds have started or not, although it must be close.

Looks like a Telecom XT site, but I could be wrong.

don't think its XT, reason being there is a CDMA/XT site bout 30-50m east of that site in the photo, and there is a vodafone site further on down K' drive

Edit, I've loaded the Hamilton 2D sites into Google Earth running alongside the locations Bartender did, the "2" is basically bang on where that new tower is going so guessing they are using new design pannels/antennas?

If that's the case then 2degrees are using new huawei panels/tower designs.
