Are there any requirements to get this plan? For example could a couple get the plan and effectively get free calling to each other?

Can you have a Vodafone or Telecom number as part of your calling group or FCN?

Landlines or 2degrees mobiles.

But didn’t you argue that these kind of plans that exclude other network’s mobile phones are discriminatory and anti-competitive?  That was largely the basis for the MTR non-discrimination clause you tried to introduce.

“2degrees is pushing to have the regulation extended to ban on-net/off-net pricing differences for 36 months (called a non-discrimination clause). Vodafone raised concerns about the impact this would have on their retail plans such as Best Mate. According to Glass, Best Mate accounts for a third of all minutes on the Vodafone network.”

“McCabe, from 2degrees, suggested that removing on-net pricing plans could benefit Vodafone’s customers.”

“We’ve been accused of trying to ban a Best Mate product; that is not what we are proposing. We are proposing that, actually with Best Mate, you can open it up to any network and presumably customers would applaud that ... if termination rates are indeed cost-based there would be no impediment to doing that for them.”

So why not take the high ground and make your calling-circle-type plans available for any network? Bill McCabe argues it should be possible with MTRs coming down so much, and customers will applaud it.

I'm not really the right person to discuss that, but I will point out that a) MTRs have still got a ways to fall, and b) national roaming isn't free.

iPad + iPhone 4S + 2degrees 3G data 4tw!

You need to be a business to sign up, but any type of official business can sign up - e.g. sole trader, limited liability, partnership, etc...

I had read of the business plans on here a while back and was surprised nobody connected the free group calling with the anti on-net debate

I would have thought a family version of the business plan (offering free group calling) would have been an absolute winner of an idea

Our company has been moved to this as of a few weeks ago (didn't even realise there was some sort of NDA), and were given a bunch of Optimus Black phones too.

Now I just wish there were better options for mobile Data. 500MB is just not enough for what we've been used to on Vodafone Smart 4 plans.

Oh the new 2degrees website is a HUGE improvement, I like it

On the $59 plans you will get a 1gb bonus, you just gotta ask.
