ajw: And another week has elapsed and still waiting to see the results of "watch this space" perhaps POB could update this thread at some stage.

I am not and have never been an employee of any telco but I read that phrase to mean "we have discussed it, plans are in progress, these things take time." To put it in time terms . . . might be next week, might be 2 or 6 or 12 or 18 months depending on at what stage of the development/deployment process it is in.

Those in the know can correct me but take it as a "we hear your suggestions and we do think about these things" rather than a "any minute now we are going to make all your dreams come true."

Enough interpretations for you? :-)

Or wait and see what our competitors are up to and if any loss of market share then do something about it.

But seriously, we're always looking at giving customers better value, so thanks for the feedback.  All I can say atm is watch this space. :)

Because there always new things in the pipeline from all three of us. But no-one is going to tell you about them until they're released. Handing your competitors a 6 month lead time on what you're planning to release is not a winning strategy.

Geekzoners are usually amongst the first to know when anything happens. So: watch this space.

BTW: Vodafone - starting next week with every $20 topup we will give away a brand new Holden Commodore*. Don't tell Telecom. We don't want them to start giving away 5-series BMWs!

*No Holden Commodores will be given away to anyone. If you ask me nicely I will construct a Google search that should find you some pictures.

Because 'We'll let know you once we've gone through business and financial sign-off, UAT, marketing, advertising, system roll-out, Customer Care training, (deep breath) Knowledge base updates, etc etc and everything is in place to give our customers this wonderful new product" is a bit of a mouthful.

How about WTS in future or is that too similar to another abbr? ;0)

I have one foot in the grave now. With all the bureaucratic procedure above I could be pushing daises awaiting these new secret weapons.

Well I think I can safely reveal that immortality therapies are not on the list of upcoming products, if that will set your mind at ease!
