Hi there
just wondering if any one knows if $19 combos include "video calling" as well in the free minutes ? or is it only voice calls ?
Thanks.

Im fairly sure it is included as they zero rate the data aspect of the video calls and charge you per min on standard call rates.

3G video calls are not packet switch data to start with they are a 64k CSD connection

I could disable packet switch internet access on my connection and video calls will still setup as it uses a different bearer

There is no "data aspect" to video calling. It's circuit switched based, not IP.

That's what I thought too - 2degrees-to-2degrees they just count as voice call mins.

Pretty sure Salty told me that ages and ages ago.

Weird how on my past two smartphones (ip4 & hox) I can't video call.

That's because Apple thumbed their nose at a 3GPP standard and decided to create Facetime instead.

They count for 'minutes' usage. The only place they are not included is free in-group calling for businesses. But note that that only includes 3G video calls, not data services like Skype.

iPad + iPhone 4S + 2degrees 3G data 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

We all know Apple are silly but what about my Android? Can't figure out how to get video calling on my HTC one x...

Sorry Vita, I've been attending other pressing matters... (right, coffee done) ... yep, Video Calling, as been mentioned comes off your $19 Combo minutes, Pay Monthly plan (if you have one) or charged as std calling rates if they run out.

SteveON - the HTC One X doesn't support videocalling. :(

I used to video call all the time when I noticed they were charged the same as voice.
It's great

I can't use it anymore cos I went to custom rom (MIUI) which doesn't have regular video calling.

Now it seems most smart phones don't want to bother with it, especially iphones, presumably because you can do it with an app. But everyone has different apps, skype is too clunky has to be signed in, etc.
