Does anyone know if there's a time frame in place for 4G roll out in Hawke's Bay?

My fingers are crossed that since HB is the first to loose Analog TV - we'll get 4G first. Wishful thinking????

HAH that's good thinking but sadly I doubt we will get it before The Big boys in Auckland / Wellington

Wink  Best to test the system first in HB, then roll out to the bigger centers.

We'll be shouting it out to you big boys on GZ when it's ready and switched on. :)

No ETA as yet though. :|

There was some talk about the newer cell sites 2deg have been putting up are lte-ready, so I guess there's nothing much stopping them doing lte on 900/1800/2100mhz today except maybe akl/welly/chch/qtn would need hardware upgrades.
Xt is looking like it might do lte on 1800mhz before the 700mhz auctions start.
Still theres no reason for anyone to roll it out quick. Lte Handsets are still useless - battery life is horrible on lte and they longer everyone waits the cheaper the kit/handsets will get.
Disclaimer : all speculation don't believe anything I say.

LTE will be appearing here in the 1800MHz band so ASO is meaningless.

700MHz LTE will be a while off yet, there aren't even live networks or devices yet that support the APAC 700MHz band.
