I'm getting conflicting messages. Our local vendor is saying no - as it no longer exists as a product we have to buy 2012 Standard and downgrade. But our Swedish based head office is saying they can still get it from their guys.
I'm thinking we're losing something in the 'Swenglish' translation, but can anyone comment on this?
i would be surprised if you could order 2008 - thats two versions old a 2008R2 and 2012 versions are released. I believe that SKU pricing went up a little for SQL 2012, so i can understand why you might try and buy an older version, but i'd be inclined to agree with your local vendor (without checking) and suggest that 2008 is not available since both 2008R2 and 2012 were released.
