I'm not sure if it's Dell specific or not, ,but I was just doing a set up on this new Dell laptop for work, and have noticed that when I was doing restarts to apply the patching updates, it keeps dropping the LAN settings in IE7.

My Dell had been doing the same thing, but I hadn't really worried about it due to knowing the settings, and using FireFox anyway.

This install is for an end user, so it's a bit more important that it finds it's way on it's own.

It's not OS specific either, mine is Vista, but this new install is XP.

Any hints would be great.
