Snap, wondering if you are going to compete with Telecom's newest promotion that went live on the 1st (and not an April Fools joke) - double data on their Total Home Plans.

Currently paying $80/month for 35GB, phone is an extra $55 on top of that via Telstra Clear.
If I can convince everyone else, changing to Telecom Total Home Broadband will give ma 120GB and a Phone Line for $115 and I can add another 100GB for $40 if I really needed to download.

Now I love being with Snap! and changing is always a hassle no matter who you are changing to (and for reasons I don't understand everyone I live with HATES Telecom with a passion even though Telstra Clear have not been saints either). However Snap is looking rather out-dated in pricing and since I have been with the pricing has got more expensive.

Any comment?
Anything coming?

Thanks

I would second that, there appears to be a lot to like in the Snap offering except the caps/price ratio.

The total home broadband extra's are upgrades aren't they? e.g if you pay the $40 to get 100gb you only get 100gb not 160gb

Edit: Just saw current Telecom More Data Upgrade Promo

Give them a chance to look things over, The Telecom offer was launched 01/04 and you are asking on 02/04

But things haven't been looked at for a while now (that the public know about, internally I can't comment of course)

However, I also don't expect a concrete answer in the next 2-4 hours though a nod in the 'its coming' direction would be nice. :-) (Though i'm not going to jump ship just because - pricing isn't always the thing I look for and I have been very very very very happy with Snap)

I would assume that data will jump up for all isp's. Go back 2-3 years and Telecom were the last ones to upgrade data now twice in a year I hope this is a benchmark for the rest of NZ's providers

at the moment i pay $145 for 105 GB and phone with Snap , with the new telecom prices i can get a home phone and 120 GB of Data for $115, that's a big saving and more than makes up for (maybe) inferior speeds and service. i hope Snap take notice because it is tempting.

At this rate, even slingshot's 250GB plan which has been around for months is better value. I'd like to support snap but it will only go so far.

Hi guys,

I've heard from a friend that works at Snap that they are reviewing the data plans and should have more info in a week or two. ( Hopefully sooner)
Hopefully ralph can confirm.

I have a ticket in place to move to TelstraClear cable at the end of billing cycle on the 19th. If Snap can offer 40GB for $65 per month I will gladly stay. Otherwise adios amigos...

Hi Guys,

We are constantly reviewing our plans and looking at revised pricing and larger data allowances. However at this stage we cannot confirm, but please keep and eye out on our website, facebook, twitter, Geekzone and GP Forums for any updates.

Thanks,
