Woohoo, my bill is now $10 cheaper and I get 65GB instead of 30GB. Pretty happy :)

I must say though - I have used about 180gb of Google/Youtube this month which means we are using far less data, of which other ISP's don't offer.

Which awesome Google service am I missing out on??

I surf Youtube daily, and upload the odd video, but seldom use more than 10GB a month.

$5 for all you can eat Google and YouTube (login to snap and look at your summury page and it has 'All You Can Eat' addons that you can click and add)

Yeah I have it. More curious how someone manages to use 180GB of it a month.

Google Music, flat of 5 with Youtube HD, Music through Youtube, it's quite easy to use that - Then again I used 482gb last month on the Youtube/Google add-on >.>

jasonbrice: I just spoke to one of the guys there. As it stands, I am on a promotional plan, but if I switch over to one of the At Home plans or Naked, I can get those extra data packs.

Anyone knows whether this applies to one of the "legacy/grandfathered" Naked DSL Plans?  I am on the Naked DSL Plan B, but am not seeing any changes.  I looked at my excess data packs options under "myaccount" and I'm still seeing the old data packs add ons.

I tried signing up as a new Naked DSL customer via their web, but can't seem to see the new offerings?  Any ideas how I can get it on Naked DSL...?

Thanks.

Hmm, these new SNAP prices aren't on the signup page? They're still the old prices?

Because hot damn, if I can get those prices with naked DSL (or maybe VDSL2, hmmmm) XNet is goneburgers!

Thanks Snap, gone from 5 + 30GB to 5 + 145GB a month. Now if you could tweak the business VDSL plans too that'd be great :)

550GB + naked VDSL2 for 180 a month sounds very tempting

Just received:

There’s no need to go to your ISP cap in hand to have the throttle lifted, not if your provider is snap!

Recognising that Internet speeds are increasing and people do more with their data connections, snap! has more than quadrupled the data in each of the “at Home” plan add-ons. The new add-ons are available from today, April 18 and existing customers do not have to do anything to take advantage of them. Customers on applicable plans will be automatically upgraded to the new amounts as their next monthly data cycle commences.

This move allows people to pick a plan with a suitable monthly data allocation for a fixed cost. Should you go over that allocation, no fear: snap! makes it easy and affordable to top up with any amount of additional data.

Mark Petrie, snap! CEO says “We’re doing this because we have a great network and want our customers to use it. That’s what we’re here for and what our customers love us for – just like we love them and want to show it”.

While the base plans for “Broadband and Calling at Home” and “Naked Broadband at Home” remain unchanged, they come with snap’s award winning customer service.

The plans also have advanced features such as IPv6 addressing for all users, no transparent caching or traffic shaping and provide plenty of options to massively expand data caps.

Snap Internet Limited, “Snap”, is a provider of innovative communication solutions to the business and enterprise markets. Throughout New Zealand we partner with our customers to design, implement, and manage business solutions. From strategic consulting to infrastructure solutions and services, Snap has earned a reputation as a cost-effective and progressive Telecommunications company.

With two decades of internetworking experience, Snap is investing heavily in network infrastructure to ensure fault tolerance and maximum future scalability.  Our network provides the reliability and performance to meet business requirements of all scales.

Lead from our head office in Christchurch, and with nationwide presence, Snap services a broad range of customers. Snap caters for residential users and SMEs, to large organisations and educational institutions. Snap also supplies/wholesales to other ISPs.

Note the original press release refers to "Gb" but I think it really means "GB".

Why are business plans so crap compared to residential plans? Not just Snap but both Telecom and Orcon too.
