10? Wow, that sounds high. Hopefully you're right :) I'm seeing how mine goes with target SNRM at 8:

Yeah, well I was on a CRCPM of 10 for a week on DLM-1 so that's what I'm going on.

EDIT: Correction, looking back at my history again, I was on DLM-1 for a week, but on a SNRM of 16 & an error rate of 0.8.  I was on a CRCPM of 10 for only 3 days or so.  I've corrected my last post.  I'll see how things go when I'm swapped to DLM-1 next.

Well, nine days since install (four days since coffeebaron fixed it) and I have a DLM change. For those tracking, it happened at 4:10 a.m.

Let's see if I get another change soon!

Just had the realisation that I have changed from DLM-6 to DLM-2, so I've jumped two levels with one resync.

I also forced a resync on Friday night, which didn't change anything too noticeably. FEC dropped from ~1450/min to ~900/min but that was all.

DLM is lame. I had my first DLM change for some time today. No change that I can tell but my CRCPM has gone up to 1PM which is about what it was when I was on DLM1 a while back.

But yeah I decided to check on the fritz!box firmware and it seems there has been a few updates since my box was shipped. This is my current firmware Firmware-Version 84.05.04

Check out some of the interesting changes since.

New with version 84.05.20:

DSL: New DSL-version with improvements for ADSL2+ and VDSL lines
DSL: improved VDSL-interoperability and performance

I'm going to give it a try now. It also has a few other cool non DSL feature improvements.

We're pretty sure that the fritzbox (or something) doesn't report DLM-4 (1INP) properly - that's likely what you're on; multiple people have observed behaviour where it seems they go from DLM-6 to DLM-2 then a few days later get another DLM resync and nothing visible changes - it appears that the 1st resync is actually DLM-6 changing to DLM-4 but it's not showing properly, then the 2nd resync is actually DLM4 to DLM2 you just can't tell because the 1INP isn't showing when on DLM4 for some reason.

Anyway, nice one. Good to see it change quite quick. I reckon you'll get anotehr one soon ;-)

What version of the firmware are you on now? Do you have a 7340 or a 7390?

I was on Firmware-Version 84.05.04 and now it says Firmware: FRITZ!OS 05.22 which is Firmware version: 84.05.22

7390 is the router I have.

@HowickDota: Very nice, you must be very close to cabinet\exchange? Oblig: Have you got a master filter or eliminated unneeded stubs\jackpoints? Well worth doing before the change over and DLM starts.

Changed from Vodafone naked to Snap VDSL yesterday.

not the greatest, but the increased upload speed is amazing.

@Reido: Any idea how far from the cabinet\exchange you are? That attenuation looks a bit nasty. (And as above, have you either got a master filter or if naked have you ensured you're connected by a single line with no unterminated stubs\unused jackpoints\etc off it?)
