I have my home connection with Snap on a Business Promo plan due to work having a fibre connection and paying a fortune for it.

As it turns out I have hit my data cap which has reduced me to dial up speeds, this I am not worried about BUT part of our deal with Snap is that I have unmetered access between work and home as I need to be able to login to perform maintenance or fix issues to that could cause downtime without having to drive 30km to work.

With Snap restricting my connection that has also stopped my remote access into work, I have called them about that asking them to just remove the restriction for the external IP range that we use. They refused saying they couldn't do anything until Monday.

This has annoyed me as it means I am now running completely blind at work and because 3G coverage in my area is  poor I can't even use my iPad or iPhone to login.

I think I will be contacting our account manager on Monday for a please explain.

i don't think they can make only some of your traffic slow, you might have to buy more data, providing you can do that on snap.
