CdTDroiD: That works... ok let me see if i can fix it so no one has to change stuff ;)

OK fixed it. The market fix is just a normal version to fix it, the Market_Fix_HD will fix it and give you the HD look like the Galaxy Nexus

For increasing increasing screen sensitivity, higher number is better?

Flashing that will change it back for you. And dpi has nothing to do with sensitivity;)

So for someone with a phone that isn't an S2, aside from the GPS config (which i assume is changing NTP servers) what settings have been optimized for NZ?

You cant use this on anything but an S2... whats your question.

Mostly is just the extra NZ language added that wasnt in the base i used, played around with data config a little, GPS (yes the server change). Mostly optimized for me more than anything else, like i said i got some PMs asking for it so you go it. Theres not a WHOLE lot you can do to make it vary to other country's really apart from that.

I've found an interesting 'feature' where if I'm listening to music and receive a notification, then the volume stays at the lower volume until I reset it with the volume rocker.

Sounds more like an error than a feature lol, remember CM9 is still in testing stages and there is no official stable build yet, the last stabe build from Cyanogen was CM7.1 so there will be some bugs.

That answers my question - basically i was wondering what had been done that was region specific to make it a NZ build.

And yes i know you cant use a rom from another device on your phone.

Well I had no intention of going CM9 but you have twisted my arm being a local developer and being 4.0.4 (I like new and shiny :D). So far so good, there are a few things i like over the samsung based rom and a few things I like less but overall it looks very promising.

Many thanks CDT!!

Thanks for this too!
Been trying it since Sunday night. Liking it so far. Just takes a bit getting use to having the external SD somewhere else.
Also I noticed long pressing the home button gives the list of previous opened apps. But doesn't show the task manager button I had loaded the market fix hd. Not sure if that has pushed it off the screen or its just not there with this rom.

I am getting insane battery drain on this rom, It looks to be a wakelock issue but buggered if i can work it out, battery menu tells me it is media. Rebooting can drop the battery level 40% or more, the phone is not running hot as it would with a rogue app. Have pulled battery, reset battery stats, reset fuel chip, run flat and left overnight on charge, done all the usual things but to no avail.

I did a full data/cache/dalvik wipe on install, and even re-installed rom just in case... Any ideas what this could be?

You've used betterbatterystats to try and locate it? My battery life has been on par with other roms I've tried and I've had no significant wakelocks at all.

My only issue, apart from getting used to the change in sd card location, has been touchscreen sensitivity. It seems to be just a little slow, but not all the time, and sometimes doesn't register touches at all.

On BBS it was just telling me there was a wakelock on media

One thing i didn't eliminate was kernels, i was running Siyah 3.0.1 which shouldn't pose a problem but just in case I have done another full wipe/reinstall and left std kernel as is, haven't added any app's and touch-wood it seems to be charging off USB (beforehand drain looked to be higher than USB port current).

Will charge it up and let BBS build some new history, FWIW full charge this morning and in under 4 hours I am down to 13% with 28mins on screen on time...

I concur on the touchscreen sensitivity. And sometimes when using the keyboard you don't hear a tap and think perhaps you didn't press the key but it has pressed, it's just delayed.

I had to restore from TiB in batches.  Everything did restore without problem but it wouldn't do the whole lot in one hit.

Last night while doing nothing with the phone the battery was draining like mad, but it seems to be fine today.

Not that I care too much, but I can't set FB up as an account to sync.  Sorry if it sounds like I'm just here dumping the problems. I think it's great we have a local dev.  Thanks for the time and effort working on this, and then sharing it with the GZ community.
