GalaxySuser: Hi is it normal to have a question mark below the  first bootup screen?

If you mean exclamation mark then yes. It shows that you've rooted your phone. It causes no problems at all and is easily removed. Have a hunt through the sticky S2 thread for Brendon and find his guide (linked in his signature). It'll tell you how to remove it.

K1000716: Have you used the market fix? I can download foursquare from the market, can you not even do that?

Yep, I've got the Market HD fix. Maybe worth re-flashing it to see if that helps =/

I wonder if my different market causes the issue? I'm using a DPI fixed market, not the HD one.
Can anyone else install foursquare using the HD market?

I just re-installed the Market HD .zip via CWM and still have no Foursquare in Play.

Not a big issue, but it's interesting that some apps are saying they're incompatible.

Will that change anything else for me though? 'cause I *really* like the resolution I've got going on-screen at the moment!

I'm not sure sorry. I'm running mine on 192dpi at the moment and it looks great, but having never installed either of the market fixes I don't know what they're like.

Using which market? Normal fixed, HD fixed or another version like my dpi fixed one?

The two of you (who've replied anyway) using that version can't see it, but Galaxyuser (normal fixed market) can. I guess it's a peculiarity with the HD market then?

Do you mean an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle? You'll see this if you use Odin to flash a non-Samsung kernel onto the phone (e.g. in order to get CWM recovery). It's not harmful, and won't make a difference unless you're planning on taking your phone to a service centre.

If you want to get rid of it, you can install and run the Triangle Away app (requires root and ICS). This app resets the counter that causes the triangle to show, making your boot screen look normal again.

CdTDroiD: Everyone else should feel free to update this if they like also, make it a Geekzone build lol

My brother showed me HyDrOG3N-ICS on his phone, and I was blown away by the number of settings hidden away in the menu (e.g. modifying the screen auto-brightness steps). If I get time, I might look at trying to modify it to create a localised version. I'm thinking lots of black/white/silver, and maybe using a silver fern to show signal strength (more leaves = better signal).

Any risks with Triangle Away?

With apps that modify your phone at a low level, there's always the chance that something will go wrong. However, the chances of this are fairly small. I used the app myself while I was waiting for my jig to arrive from DealExtreme, and it worked without a problem. I know several other people who have used it with no issue. You should be safe.

I've switched to CM9 Nightly 20120414 and am really enjoying it. I was having problems with my EFS folder somehow crapping itself after every reboot with CdTDroiD's version, no idea why, but changing roms resolved it. I had tried clearing caches, fixing permissions etc (even wiping and reflashing) but nothing seemed to fix it.

The crazy thing is I'm now getting 5m GPS accuracy (according to Google Maps) when my previous best was 20m...

I'm glad Chris posted his version for us all to try, I don't think I'll go back to Samsung based roms now.
