Yep, seems like USB audio may well be enabled on the Galaxy SIII but I need a driver-less USB DAC like the E7 to try it out (my E17 needs to install drivers and isn't working, although it is definitely interfacing with the S3).

Not quite on topic, but weren't you looking for a device that plays FLAC files natively.

Have you had a look at the Sony XPERIA Acro S white paper. It list FLAC Audio. AND the phone has a MicroSD.

Ignore me if I got it wrong.

[See NZTechFreak comments below]

That's cools, but may be a first for Sony as I haven't seen it listed on their devices before.

All Good. Maybe it was another Geekzoner.

S1/2/3/Note all do FLAC natively, One X too :)

All Androids can do FLAC with third party players too :)

I was after one for the iPhone 4S, now using the vastly overpriced FLAC Player for the iPhone, nearly three times the cost of apps like PowerAMP but with about 10% of the features. Only thing I will say for the iPhone is that its sound quality is lovely.

I've just ordered an ODAC+Objective2 headphone amp last week. It's an open source hardware, and does not require driver. I'm eagerly waiting for it to arrive. If you want, I can let you try it on your phone once arrives.
