I'm new to Android and had a HTC One X. I successfully rooted it and so on, but didn't make a copy of the stock Telecom ROM.

Now I have the Samsung Galaxy S III and I'm going to keep that one and look at sticking the One X on Trade Me.

Does anyone know where I can download a copy of the stock Telecom ROM?

Failing that does anyone want my One X for $600? Perfect condition and only used a handful of times.

Thanks.

Yep just $600 for GZ people, $700 for Trade Me, bought it from Warehouse Stationery when they had their $799 promotion.

Sorry I know this doesn't help you find the XT ROM you are after, but is your current ARHD ROM the one based on 1.29 or 2.05? And what are your impressions of it. To be honest I am getting so frustrated with telecom's tardiness with updating the 1.26 ROM that I am about to unlock, root, and flash a recovery and ROM. Most likely ARHD.
You might find that your One X is easier to sell in its current configuration than by reverting it to stock, because the part of the warranty affected by the unlocking is gone as far as HTC is concerned anyhow. And people may prefer custom to being hog-tied by Telecom's crap update schedule. It just means finding someone who understands what you have done to it and the benefits that follow from a custom ROM. Heck, if I didn't already have a One X I'd shelled out $800 for I'd be beating a path to your door. I believe you are in the right place on GZ.

It's based on 1.29. The reason I rooted it is because, like you, I was tired of waiting for Telecom's update and wanted to see what the differences would be like. I chose the ARHD ROM because I wanted a ROM as close as possible to stock Sense. It's definitely faster and smoother and battery life is much better, my problem was that I'd already played with a S III and that beats it hands down in terms of UI speed and fluidity.

I just assumed it'd be easier to sell if I restored it to stock, not sure how many people would understand what it means for a phone to be rooted, but maybe I'll give it a crack and see how it goes. Cheers.

I had a similar scare. I don't know if it will help because my phone isn't unlocked nor does it have a custom recovery but I still managed to get it in a bootloop while playing around with it in ADB. It just kept cycling between the Telecom splashscreen and the wallpaper. I could get into fastboot, but recovery just gave an error screen, so in the end I selected factory reset. That worked, so just had to completely reload everything. Three Android phones and plenty of custom flashes, but still just a noob really.

Edit: Sorry just reread your post and realised the above isn't going to help.....like I said still a noob.

Run it through flashget or some other download manager, filefactory is amazingly slow for free users. With flashget you should be able to get at least 150 KB/s
