When I try and download anything from the google app store I get an error message saying I don't have enough storage. My internal storage is less than 10mb free, I have a 2gb micro sd card with 1gb space available.

How can I get the apps to install directly to the sd card? I've looked in the storage settings, and it has an area where you can move apps onto the sd card to "free up storage space" but it only has 3 apps listed there, not all of them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Unfortunately this is an age old problem across a number of phones. Its been a while since I had to worry about this and I am not sure what version of Android you are running but the following may help.

1. Wipe the cache in your internet browser.  When I had this problem a while back I found the cache was stored in the internal memory of the phone so that may help.

2.  Not all apps can be moved to the SD card (although by now I would have thought most could) but even if they can, not all the App is moved.  I assume you are running a stock ROM and if memory serves me correctly the Android "Move to SD" is not as good as the custom ROM route many of which have A2SD or the like which is generally considered better.

3. Google "XDA devlopers".  Hopefully they have a forum for the Wildfire and if so there will be custom roms there as well as rooting instructions if you want to go down that route.  I would also bet there is a thread under Q & A about memory issues which may have more help.

Unfortunately I can't mess around with it too much, as its a company mobile, which I don't own.
