I have downloaded several custom firmwares and currently running the leaked Samsung 4.1.2 XXLPX. very nice.

One thing I have noticed with a lot of these firmwares is the modem performance seems below average. Do I need to be doing something special to the modem "part" of the firmware for Voda NZ best performance?

TIA

I can't help with Vodafone modem recommendations, but here's a link to all the modems you'll ever need. From memory though the XXKI3 modem was always popular. Trial and error is always a goof way

You could try checking out the slightly buried S2 thread as you may get better info there. It was discussed rather often...

Thanks.

From memory it was your suggestion to try the new leaked firmware and I like it :-)

How do change just the modem BTW?

Cheers

Download the modem zip file to your phone then go into recovery and flash the zip.

The leaked jelly bean firmware is pretty nice, I can hardly believe I'm actually enjoying Touchwiz - it's come a long way in the 19 months I've had my S2.
