Hi guys,
just wondering ,when lock screen secured with PIN ,is it possible to access camera quickly with out entering PIN?

i know if i dont set PIN i can quickly launch camera but dont want to leave phone un secured.
with little kids at home you need quick access to camera but some times i miss because of PIN.

before disabling PIN just want to check with you guys if there is a workaround. thanks for the advise.

i use samsung galaxy S3 with 4.1.2

You can do this with 4.2.x but I'm not too sure about 4.1.x with it's lack of lockscreen widgets.

You could try enabling quick camera access: settings > security > lock screen options > camera quick access

This lets you use the camera by pressing your finger on the lockscreen and rotating the phone to landscape.

Edit: Actually you might want to try some of the suggestions on this page when dealing with quick launch and security.

Devices: Samsung Captivate (AT&T Galaxy S) and HTC One on Telecom. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.

Thanks Brad, i already tried that but still requires extra steps to get to the camera. looks like no other lock screen can do this, atleast based on my research.

probably i'll have to wait till official 4.2 roll out until then no security PIN :(
