Well from what I've read in thread it's worked pretty much 100% of the time for people in the same situation as me. So fingers crossed it does, although I have zero soldering experience.
If it does work I'll be damn happy tomorrow, nearly had a heart attack when I saw the screen pop up.
Will be sticking to stock roms for a while atleast.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I took a copy of my titanium backup and put it on my PC - now I want to use it to restore apps only (it was an Eclair backup, and restoring to Froyo), but I can't get Titanium to see the backup directory?

Also, I thought App Brain would've told me I was missing all my apps that were sync'd to it when I re-downloaded it?

Or have I misunderstood how App Brain works?  Just concerned that I can't get my paid apps back without paying again!!!

Hay guys, I am thinking of buying I9000 from clove and I am just curious if anybody bought this phone from clove recently.

I want to know whether people get charge for GST by custom recently or is it still a 'luck' thing with Airsure tracked mail? Because if the custom do charge GST, then I might as well get it from expert infotech or something

I have read of a few people who got stung by GST with Airmail. It's a luck thing.

I would read the thread on Geekzone about EKing, personally I wouldnt go near them. I got a couple of Galaxy's from Noel Lemming on special for $799 for guys at work. Ask them if they can match EKing or at least do $799 again.

Have you done this with Clove before? I would be surprised if they would do this, since its against their policy...

I think with Clove you're paying for guaranteed quality product and after sale service. with one of the online NZ stores with dodgy reputations what you get delivered is what you are stuck with.

And Clove will very quickly rectify any problems for you (As NZTechFreak can testify); the cheap & cheerful e-tailers here tend to become cheap and nasty (and suddenly unable to speak English) if there's a problem.

Caveat Emptor.
