lokhor: Issues restoring apps from Titanium Backup, also mounting on a PC is in read only

Ohh, that one has me stumped.  If I have my USB set to mass storage I can't access either of my internal or external drives. I can't remember what it says, something about inserting a CD or something.

But I'm not on JPU.

Did someone mention about driver settings or whatnot on the computer to change it?

I have the same thing - not able to connect to mass storage and get the 'inserting cd' thing. Its been like that since before JPU though.

The Android giveth, and the Android taketh away.

SGS Toolbox now reports...

PDA: i0999XXJPU
Phone: i0999XXJPU
CSC: i0999OXAJPU

Build info: 2010.12

So I have a CSC once more.

Now, however, I can't send txts. I can receive them though.
Weird.

Must.Investigate.SMS.Settings... Surprised

Cheers,

What did you do to get your CSC, did you flash one through Odin?

Ok, so it's perhaps not me being a knob.  It's affecting more than me.  Thought I was just being a bit dense and had some setting wrong.

Of course we could both be a bit dense ..... nah, not possible ;-)

Great to see support on here for our galaxy phone. Thankfully I've had no issues on my captivate, however if I did have a galaxy, I'd feel reassured with the readily available help. well done everyone! You all make me dizzy with your various issues but I always take note because inevitably I will encounter the same at some point.

R2d2 - I had that problem and a restart fixed it. I also had to set the apns myself as the ones that defaulted we're incorrect. Ie. 3g wouldn't work.

Neets:

Not telling.

Nyah, nyah, nyah...

Oh, OK then. Downloaded a Samfirmware zip with all of the components and flashed with Odin. Before flashing I did a factory reset. And the flash seemed to go OK.

Noticed that TiBackup had lost track of a few apps, which surprised me. So hadda go to the market and download 'em again.

So Miss smartypants-knows-everything-Neets, any idea why my SMS has stopped sending? It's got me beat. Re-entered all the APN settings (as from the sticky on the Android page) but nada. Yet I get texts OK. WTFITA?

[Releases big sigh]

Cheers,
R2D2

So you didn't have APN backup then?  That's a shame.

Crikey, I couldn't even fix my SMS notification sound and you want me to fix your ability to receive a SMS.  That's a bit of a leap Tongue out  Ok, ok.  I figured out my SMS notification [searches for thinking cap]

Just came across this which may help.  Though I'd have to go research the command again to get into SU mode.

Edit: Say, I may only have 2 friends, (and one of those is my mum) but I appear to have graduated to Ultimate Geek status. That and $4.20 might get me a flat white at Starbucks.
