Damager: Ah thanks for that wazz! Havent checked out CM since version 6 froyo 2.2. There was a Captivate port and i tried it, looked great but far too many bugs. I wonder if the Captivate developers will try a port of CM7 or wait until pure 2.3 port is finished. I think supercurio and the CM team are working collectively on it still.

As far as I know the current build will boot on the captivate with a few work arounds but no one is working on it specifically. I imagine though once an RC build is finished it wont be too hard to get it working properly on the captivate, the phones are very similar after all.
Supercurio is now working on voodoo sound now instead.

Came across this on XDA yesterday; with a bit more dev work it might be quite cool (or quite annoying, depending on your point-of-view!)

Life is mostly froth and bubble, two things stand like stone - kindness in another's trouble, courage in your own.

If you need a download-mode jig ASAP, you're welcome to borrow mine!  Works with SGS I/II/III.  I also have a SIM cutter available (Dunedin) - happy to post either to you at your cost.

The first bit made me feel sea sick!  But the scrolling through the pictures was kinda cool.

defragger: ^ Yep 9.0.2 installed flawlessly for me. Finding it very stable. No lag or programs crashing so far.

Did you do a full wipe from a different rom or did you already have Darkys v8 or something?

Had to full wipe as I was on criskelo's xxjpy. You can only no-wipe if you are upgrading from another version of Darkys, otherwise the ROM will wipe everything.

Does the speedmod kernel you flashed with Darky's V9.0.2 have CWM Recov on it already?

Yes it does.

what good quality but not too expensive headphones is everyone using? and not the ear bud type.. doesnt matter what ear bud ones i get and even with the smallest ear bud things, they just fall out!

wasnt really happy with the volume, full volume on the default samsung headphones still not loud enough. purchased the louder volume hack from the market and there's a definite increase so happier now.

I think they're great but that's just my pers pref. They are kinda of in-ear but the don't have proper buds so they might not be suited to you.

I have a question, I am with 2 degrees and you can't get Facebook notifications sent to your phone, is there any other way of doing this? oh and I have a SGS Vodafone version not the telecom one.

Do you mean text notifications? I would just set the Facebook app to check half hourly for notifications.

So these Sony ones work well, I have seen them before and the price is pretty good. I heard somewhere ages ago something about the 4 way socket contacts needing an adapter for the 3 way stereo plug cause samsung swapped 2 contacts?? (Something like that)

Obviously there is no Music player controls on them.

I followed the guide here to calibrate my battery after updating to Darky's ROM. Got 0% battery drain overnight. Very happy :)

I find them fine( better than average ones) and I got them for like $19 which is a steal. I tried some 4 contact headphones(like the ones with Ipod's) and ended up only getting high pitched music with no voice so thats that.

Just flashed Darky's v9.0.2 and it works great, extremely happy. What modems are you telecom guys finding the best? JPY, JPA or JL2?
